It takes one day
Everyday you make progress
One day of eating 500 calories is progress.
It’s 1500 calories burned
That’s 0.4 lbs lost
2 more of these and it’s more than one pound of fat g o n e
It’s only small progress
But the small builds the big
In the end everything is about small things
Everything in the universe is made of the smallest thing- an atom
And the universe is huge
Small progress builds big achievements
Excuses VS realities
Excuse: “I’ll just have a day off/have a treat”
Reality: I have a shit relationship with food and even one ‘treat’ will set me off into a binge cycle and make me feel guilty, it’s just not worth it
Excuse: “I don’t need/want to lose weight”
Reality: At this point it’s doubt talking, I’m not doubting my want to lose weight I’m doubting whether it’s achievable and frankly just being lazy
Excuse: “I won’t be able to lose weight”
Reality: I can but I always fuck it up by thinking these type of thoughts and making excuses for myself which result in me giving up and then never seeing the results I want
Excuse: “I’ll start again tomorrow”
Reality: This is just making the process longer and harder for myself and showing my lack of willpower, just stick to it and don’t give up because starting again will mean wasting time and slowing down results
That day (imagine)
i cant wait for that day when my thin legs stretch over the bed and my feet land on the floor. a small yawn retreats from my mouth. i do a few stretches and my stomach rumbles, i press a hand and get excited. i get into the bathroom and get a glance of myself. sharp jaw line, skinny tendon filled neck, long collar bones, visible cheek bones. i strip down and look in the mirror. no more huge stomach. just ribs and hip bones baby. my long dainty arms get the scale from the closet and my hands are just skin layered over bone. my cold hands trace down my sides and i step on the scale. the blue screen flicks on, the numbers hop up and down for a second and then.. my ugw is on the screen. i gasp and step off, and then back on, then off again. i look at my body in the mirror. finally.
Getting back on track
as you know Thanksgiving was a few days ago and I know I’m not the only one who got thrown off. So I put together a few reminders/goals to help stay motivated
1.) refill your water bottle hourly
2.) eat at least 4 fruits/vegetables a day
3.) you’ve gotten this far, you can keep going
4.) look at old pictures of yourself and remember what it was like then be thankful you’ve changed
5.) look at thinspo
6.) look at before/after pictures from weight loss
7.) do HIIT workouts 4-5 times a week
8.) balance your meals
9.) if you binge make sure you eat clean the next day
10.) chew gum when you wanna eat and you’re just bored
11.) don’t go over 1,200 calories per day
12.) if you do go over your calorie limit then exercise some off
13.) pace around your room to burn extra calories (about 1 hour of pacing= 100 calories burned)
14.) stay focused and never give up
EAT CITRUS
Eat citrus fruits. They accelerate your metabolic rate and burn fat. For example my dad lost like 4kg by just eating tangerines, oranges etc…
You can eat like 4-5 tangerines and an orange and drink lemon juice with warm water everyday and it will help you. They also contain vitamin C.
But take care because too much citric acid can damage your teeth, troath and even your stomach.
