it feels good
when you set a goal and someone says you can’t do that. it feels good when you have a goal weight deadline and someone says that that’s not gonna happen because it’s unrealistic. it feels good when someone tells you you’re losing weight too fast. it feels good when you hit that deadline and prove them wrong. it feels good when everyone, everyone fatter than you, tells you that you can’t do it.
it feels good to be in control and prove people wrong.

How to fill notebooks! 🌟
- Keep a dream journal
- Use a notebook to record any advice you are given or give
- For music lovers! Write a song then how you felt when you heard it for the first time, what it reminds you of, what was your life like at that time
- Keep a journal for all happy memories
- A gratitude journal, write each day a list of what you are grateful for
- Copy out poems you find and like or song lyrics
- Use one for an ongoing to do list, just cross each thing off as you complete it. You’ll never lose a list again!
- A recipe book- copy out recipes to try or ones you have tried. Leave some space to review one once you try it and say what you would change
- Keep a notebook for all your creative ideas and projects. Words you like, story ideas, painting ideas, whatever you are interested in
- A travel diary- every time you go somewhere write where you went and what you liked about it, the people you met
- Everytime you watch a new film review it! Write movies it’s similar to, what did you like. Summarise the plot. Make it as funny or serious as you like
- A stream of consciousness- before bed write everything you are thinking with no filtering. I havent tried this but I saw it recommended quite a bit??
- Write down your goals. Short term and long term. As small as getting an A in your law assessment or as big as publishing a book. This will keep you on track and motivated.
- The law of attraction, use a notebook to manifest. Write what you want to happen. Visualise it happening, keep track of what has manifested.
Will add if I think of more!

30 Day Glow Up
Week 1 – Assess/Declutter
- Clean out your closet(s)/dresser. Donate/toss items you no longer wear, can’t fit, or don’t make you feel happy.
- Clean your room/apartment/house. Sweep, mop dust, do what you gotta do.
- Go through files on your phone/tablet/computer. Delete documents you no longer need. Get rid of junk files. Delete songs you no longer listen to (Back them up first incase you want to redownload them in the future.)
- Get rid of dated makeup, old pens, recycle/shred documents you no longer need.
- Make a list of habits to break/start. After all, your habits are the key part of what defines ‘glowing up’.
- Update your resume.
- Go over your finances. Maybe you need to adjust your weekly/monthly budget. Maybe you don’t.
- Schedule any necessary appointments.
- Take a look at your calendar and fill it with things such as a movie night, zero-day, deep clean day, date night (with yourself or someone else).
- Make a mass to-do list and prioritise it (what do you need to complete first?).
Week 2/3 – Work To break old habits/ Implement new ones, Set goals
- Remember that list of habits to break/build? Slowly work on them.
- Write out your goals for the future (short/long-term). Write your goals for your career, education, family, fun/adventure, friends etc.
- Make a vision board to represent those goals!
- Habits you might want to work on
- Going to bed late – go to bed 15 mins to 30 mins earlier every few nights
- Want to start being more active- go for a walk daily or stretch 5-10 mins after you wake up
- Drink more water – invest in a water bottle and eep it at arms reach
- Eating healthier – replace a food you typically eat daily that you maybe shouldn’t with a fruit or vegetable, look for healthier alternatives to things you eat daily.
- Too much screen time – set aside say an hour a day to read a book, draw, write etc
- Start journaling – every day try to write something in your journal even if it’s just “I had a really great nap.”
Week ¾/5(?) – Mental/Physical
- If you have the funds buy a few new items for your wardrobe
- Find a style icon/look for style inspo using the clothes you already have
- Develop a skin care routine and plan to stick to it
- Do a hair mask/get a haircut/colour/extenstions etc
- Start doing face mask and exfoliating a few times a week
- Challenge yourself to say something positive to someone daily
- Wear what makes you feel confident
- Give yourself a mani/pedi or go out and get your nails/toes done
- Treat yourself to new makeup, an outfit, a meal etc
- Keep up your daily hygiene (sometimes easier said than done, especially if you have a mental illness) – find ways to make the basics easier (planning on doing a post about that in the near future)
- Make a feel-good playlist
- Journal a few times a week
- Make a happy jar – everytime something that makes you feel good happens, write it down and put it in the jar. Then when you feel down or after a certain amount of time read them!
- Get a tattoo or piercing (if you can and want to lol)
- Go get your makeup done/pick up a few tips at Sephora/Ulta etc if you’re into makeup
- Learn a new skill (cooking, baking, learning a language, crocheting, drawing)
- Keep working on the habits you hope to build.
Exercise Tips for lazy gals like myself
- Workout whilst you run a bath or before you get in the shower – personally I like to do 50 jump squats (2 sets of 25)
- If you love binge watching TV or netflix, take regular work out breaks. I sometimes just keep it playing and do crunches or a plank, or boxing sit ups.
- Get a workout buddy to go to a class or something with. I found someone to go on runs with in the summer and at the moment we go to zumba classes. It makes it more fun and you feel lame for cancelling so you are less likely to skip it.
- Stretch! Do yoga or pilates and basic stretches. Less sweating, less intense and still very beneficial. Also can be done infront of the TV

How to burn calories
– Eat yogurt! Studies have shown that people who ate low fat yogurt lost 70% more fat than those who didn’t.
– The more you increase the intensity in your workouts, you’ll burn more fat faster than regular aerobic exercises.
– Iron helps oxygen get to your cells and if your cells aren’t getting enough oxygen, your metabolism will start to slow down.
– Drink water! Water helps your body perform better and increases your metabolism up to 30%. The colder it is, the better it is.
– Alcohol slows down your metabolism, it’s not healthy and you should try to stay away from it.
– Drinking green tea can increase your metabolism and it helps you burn up to 60 calories a day!
