“What makes anorexia so tempting?”
- The attention you get when you’re thin.
- Feeling unstoppable.
- Working against the laws of nature.
- Feeling empty instead of gross.
- Feeling powerful. You have the power to do with your body as you please.
- Feeling in control about life and death.
- You fit in all the clothes
- No one messes with you/you’re not made fun of anymore
- The “I DID THIS, ALL BY MYSELF, WITH NO ONE’S HELP. Fuck other people” thought that comes with it.
- Constantly in some kind of high.
And the worst part? It’s not even making you a better person and all of this is in your head
- Proving the bullies wrong
- Making people jealous who used to make fun of you
- Everybody wanting your help to lose weight
- Easily finding clearance clothes in your size
- All of the cutest clothes are in the smallest sizes
- You have a bigger selection when you go shopping, because almost no one can buy the tiny sizes
- Looking cute in thigh high socks
- You look cute without spending hours to get ready
- Everyone always complimenting you and your progress
- “I wish I looked like you”
- “She can’t eat that! That isn’t healthy/vegan/vegetarian”
- “I can’t fit this, you can have it! It’s top tiny for me, but it might be too big on you”
- “Do you have this in a smaller size?”
- Low key looking like a model on most days
- Being the “fit friend”
- Being viewed as more beautiful and valuable to other people
- Everybody seems to want to know you
